  • Common symptoms include cycle not advancing, stopping mid-cycle, or running too long
  • Some settings knob may not turn or advance smoothly

Paul, You will want to a voltage test at the motor to see if you are getting 120 vac to the orange wire when the unit is set for permanent press. If there is 120 vac but the unit is still doing high speed agitation then the motor switch is bad. If there is not 120 vac at the orange wire then the timer would be causing the issue.

Jake, It could be the timer, but first you should recheck the lid switch WP3949238 and wiring, again. and the water level switch W10335056 and wires as well. Either component or wiring, could distrupt the power supply to the motor and not allow it to run. If the switches and wires check OK, then replace the timer. Good Luck and Thanks

Hello Mike. If the timer WP8541945 runs past the spin cycle and does not stop, you will need to replace the timer. However, if the timer stops, but the unit only drains and does not spin, you will want to check and see if the clutch assembly 285785 is bad and needs to be replaced. Hope this helps.
