Richard June 21, 2015 for Model Number lsq911opw3 Washer filled with water and will not move to next cycle not even manually. Is it the timer?
1 Answer Hello Richard. You will need to check the lid switch WP8318084 and see if it is bad and will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Tom March 30, 2015 for Model Number whirlpool gsq9669lw1 I need timer part 3955765. The unit has timer 3955765b. Are both parts the same?
1 Answer Hello Tom, Your unit calls for part number WP3955765. The part number on the part itself is most likely a vendor number printed on it by the company contracted to manufacture the part for the appliance manufacturer. Read More...
Richard S. January 16, 2015 for Model Number LSQ911OPWO Washer stops at same point during end of first wash cycle. When opening and closing lid, it starts to operate normally and finishes wash. I considered the lid switch but believe it to be a bad spot on timer.
1 Answer Hello Richard, Since this unit has a neutral drain gearcase, the timer WP3955765 is the first suspect since the contacts could be sticking until the current flow is discontinued. Read More...
John August 04, 2014 for Model Number LSQ9110PW2 I have twice replaced the timer on my Whirlpool LSQ9110PW2 washing machine. It seems to last about 2 to 3 years before some of the contacts are burned out or so badly corroded that they don't work. Is there something I can do to increase the life of the timer?
1 Answer Hello John. Make sure no one is turning it backwards. Otherwise, there is nothing else you can do. Read More...

John May 20, 2014 for Model Number LSB6500PW2 Our washer has an intermittent problem. When we try to start the washer by setting the main control knob, nothing happens after we pull out the knob. If we let it sit for a minute or so, without touching it, the washer starts and runs normally. It does not seem to matter what cycle we select. It does tend to occur after the washer has been off for a period of time. Would replacing the timer control be the most likely cause of this problem?
1 Answer Hello John, This sounds like a poor electrical connection. I would unplug and re-connect everything in the control panel one at a time and retry. If the condition doesn't change, I would try changing the timer WP3955765 in case the contacts inside it are corroded. Read More...
Skip May 06, 2014 for Model Number WHIRLPOOL/WASHER# LSQ9110PW3 Help, I put in a load of clothes. It filled normally and started to agitate. When I checked the clothes the tub was full of water and the timer had not advanced past the wash. Checked the lid switch, it's good. Power at the receptacle ok; checked the transmission and motor, they turn freely. Put it back together, it filled with water and then nothing. No humming, no buzzing, no clicking. The timer does not advance. It appears that there is no power to the machine. What else could it be? Timer, pressure or motor switch?
1 Answer Skip, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty water temp switch. The neutral leg of the unit goes through this first and if it is faulty then would need to be replaced. The part number is WP8564139. Read More...
