Palmer E July 22, 2013 for Model Number LSE7806ACE I turned on my Washer, stackable Model #LSE7806ACE, and it filled with water with a full load of clothes, after it filled it just completely "stopped working". I tried pushing & pulling the knob to engage it & can"t get it to even turn on! Can you tell me what seems to have taken place after that?
1 Answer Palmer, This issue sounds like the lid switch is either bad or the switch is not making contact when lid is closed. Read More...
Martin June 19, 2013 for Model Number LSE7806ACE Hello, I'm having some issues with my Maytag LSE7806ACE washing machine. None of the cycles are working on the washer unless the dryer is turned on.I also don't see the timer moving like it has no power. And at this point the only thing it will do is fill up with water. It wont agitate, spin, or drain, But the pressure switch does turn the water off. I have checked the fuse going to the water level switch, And the water shuts off when you open the lid. So i am assuming the lid switch is OK. I was unable to test further due to my multimeter being at work. I'm hoping for some suggestions before i move forward, anything would b appreciated. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Martin. You need to test the lid switch assembly 12001514 and see if the switch is bad. If so, it will prevent the unit from spinning and washing properly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Cookie M. September 23, 2012 for Model Number les7806ace On this unit. All works good until the washer gets all the way to the rinse part of a reqular laod, then stops and hums? I can then slowly push the timer to spin, and all works good. I've done this a couple of times. Do you feel it's the timer?
1 Answer Hi. If your timer buzzer's and chatters at the same time then replace it with part # WP22001924. If you have to manually advance the timer then the inside cam gears have worn out on this spot and needs replaced. Also use a bucket and flush out the fill hoses sediment one at a time. Look at the back of the water valve at the inlet screens where the hoses hook up. Mainly the cold side will clog up and not allow cold water fill. If the humming is coming from the water valve then you need to replace it. If you have a unit with the first 2 serial numbers starting with 10 then it takes part # WP22001274. If the serial # starts with 14 then you need water valve part # WP22002360. Thank You. Read More...
Jeff June 25, 2012 for Model Number lse7806ace Washer quit in the middle of a load and wont start back up. It did fill up with water and sometime thereafter it stopped and wont startback up. I was thinking door switch or timer. Is there a way to test the timer? I ended up emptying with a pan. Ideas? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Jeff. Remove the front panel of the washer and check and see if the fuse on the left side is blown. If so, you will need to replace the lid switch assembly 12001514 and the fuse. You can test for power coming to the motor from the timer, if the fuse and the lid switch is good on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. 1 Answer Hello Jay. It sounds like the lid switch 12001514 is bad and will need to be replaced. Check and see if it is bad. It should read closed with the lid closed. If it is open, replace the lid switch. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
