  • Advances through each stage of the selected cycle
  • Routes power to the motor, water valves, and pump as required
  • Common symptoms: cycle won't advance, stops mid-cycle, runs continuously, won't start, or won't spin
What's included: 1 timer assembly Install notes:
  • Unplug the washer and turn off water supply before servicing
  • Open the control panel; remove knob/dial and mounting to free the old timer
  • Move wires one at a time from the old timer to the new timer to match positions
  • Secure the new timer, reassemble the console, restore power, and test a normal cycle

Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Washer Timer (Cycle Control) (Part Number: OEM18018603)

Jack

Regarding original question. Washer works on delicate but not on regular cycles. Your response: Hello Jack. Either the contacts in the timer AP4026633 are bad or the motor is bad. Keep in mind, this is a two speed motor, and delicate uses the low speed. Test at the motor, with the unit on in regular cycle with tub full of water and see if there is power at the black and yellow wires. If so, motor is bad. If not, replace the timer. Read more: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Appliance-Parts/whirlpool-timer-item-number-ap4026633.aspx#ixzz24nEIDuOo http://www.appliancepartspros.com I tested motor at black and yellow wires as you suggested. There is no power when timer is set fot regular or permanent press cycles but there is power when timer is set for delicate cycle. Does this mean that timer is defective and motor is good? Can I safely order timer and expect that this will resolve my problem?
