Cindy W. September 07, 2011 for Model Number MDE4000AYW Called to order a timer and was told it may not be the timer. What else can I check if my dryer will not turn off and the knob stays in the same position as well.
1 Answer Hello Cindy. You will need to test and see if there is 120 volts coming to the timer motor WP33001730. If so, and the timer does not run, you will need to replace the timer. If not, you will need to check the heating circuit and see if the unit is not heating properly. If so, it will cause the timer not to run. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Crystal W. May 08, 2011 for Model Number LDE 9806ACE Dryer will not heat. Heat element thermostat and fuse working.
1 Answer Hello Crystal. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer at the terminal block W11705611. If that is good and the element and thermal cut-offs are good, you will need to test and see if your loosing power at the motor or the timer. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
