Susie September 10, 2013 for Model Number Kenmore He2t After 3-4 days, the water leaks in and drips onto the floor, sounds like it's a faulty valve, yes? Similar to a previous question, the bottom of the front-loading washer is full of cold water.
Amanda March 31, 2013 for Model Number wfw8300sw1 The water to my machine will not shut off during the cycle. Could this be caused by a bad water inlet valve?
1 Answer Hello Amanda. If you can stop the water from entering the machine by turning off the timer or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit. Read More...
Eugene August 01, 2012 for Model Number wfw8300sw04 What all would I have to take apart to replace inlet valve?
1 Answer Hello Eugene, Pull out the machine and unplug it. Turn the water supplies off, cold and hot, and remove the hoses. I always use a sharpie to mark the hot one, and I mark the faucet so I'll remember that it goes to it. If you accidentally cross the water hoses the machine will set up a fault code and you will have to troubleshoot to figure out what you did. (I say this because I remember doing this when I learned to mark them.) Remove the main top and remove the wires from the valve. The wires should only go back one way because of length. Now be very careful when removing the hose--The plastic nipple on the back of the dispenser will snap off easily. Once this hose is removed, remove the screw that holds the water valve in its' mounted position. Now the valve should easily be removed and the new valve put in its' place. Re-attach everything in the reverse order. Be sure to turn the water supplies back on and plug the unit back in before pushing it back into its' spot. Read More...
Lady Jw February 09, 2012 for Model Number Maytag Washer Hot water will not come into the washing machine. Cold water if fine. Any suggestions on the problem?
1 Answer Hello Lady JW. If there is power to the water valve WP8540751 and the water does not come out, you will need to replace the water valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Joe August 01, 2011 for Model Number wfw8300sw04 My fabric softner holder compartment fills up with water after every wash, and doesnt drain. What is the problem?
1 Answer Hi Joe. Normally people will overfill the fabric softner dispenser. It always gets clogged and will not drain well. This cap works on a siphioning effect. It forces water up into the cap inner stem and through the dispenser top hole. You will need to always periodioacally clean this with soap and hot water. If you do not have this part , it is part # WP8540429. Thank you. Read More...

April 27, 2011 for Model Number MWFW8300SW01 When I try to use both the heavy duty and the normal wash sequence the switch Part Number: AP4365357 moves to the corner and back to the first sequence and then the water just doesn't stop flowing and nothing else works. Would the root of this problem be this valve or something else?
1 Answer Hello Min. If the only way to stop the water is to turn the water off at the shut off, then the valve is the problem. If you can stop it with turning off the machine, then you may have a bad pressure switch W11417619. Hope this helps. Read More...
