John January 13, 2017 for Model Number WFW9600TA00 Washer seems to get stuck on the Rinse cycle and it will cycle through a spin cycle slow down and do it again over and over, Any thoughts as to the problem. Doesn't seem to be refilling with water just keeps cycling trough a spin. Also if I stop it, it gives me a SUDS alarm. Thank you for any assistance.
1 Answer John, If you get the SUDS display, and there is no suds or water in the tub, you'll need to check the air dome pressure hose and pressure switch WPW10415587 unplug the power cord, remove the top panel and disconnect the air tube from the pressure switch, then blow in the end of the hose to clear any debris or sediment from the hose. check and make sure the hose isn't twisted or kinked. disconnect the wire harness from the pressure switch and check to see if any of the contacts are damaged or discolored. Reattach everything and check the washer for operation, if the problem remains, replace the pressure switch. Read More...
Steve W October 28, 2016 for Model Number whirlpool duet washer i replaced pump, now it starts emptying the water for a few seconds. then it kicks the washer off. do you have any suggestions what else to check?
1 Answer Steve, Other than checking the wiring then the issue would be the main control board that would cause this issue. Read More...
Belinda September 22, 2016 for Model Number WFW8400TW00 I would like to know how to empty the pump trap. Do I have to disconnect the wiring as if I were replacing the entire pump? Or can I just unscrew the cover from the trap and empty it. It sits on a concrete floor in the utility shed. I realize I need to shut off the water supply and unplug the machine before any work. And put something like towels to catch the water coming out of the pump. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Belinda. You will just unscrew it and be ready for some water to come out. Then you can clean it out. Read More...
Shari August 21, 2016 for Model Number WTGY How do I take cap off of water pump to see if anything is stuck in there? Thank You, Shari
Kristin S. June 26, 2016 for Model Number MHWE251YG00 The cap on the front of the washer drain has broken. Can I just replace the cap?
1 Answer Hello Kristin, I'm sorry but the manufacturer has made the pump filter available only as part of the pump assembly WPW10730972. Read More...
Paul June 16, 2016 for Model Number Maytag water pump MFW9600SQ0 I installed replacement pump after determining the pump was bad. New pump caused the washer to go coo-coo. Upon power up the water pump started and nothing else. I tried cycling thru and lights up like Christmas. Tried a reboot sequence but that didn't work.
1 Answer Paul, It would be unlikely that the motor would cause the unit to go haywire. The pump just gets power and turns on. This would be more likely a control board. Read More...
Sean March 13, 2016 I have a whirlpool duet washer. The drain pump was replaced less than a year ago. I replaced it because the impeller broke on the pump, the metal post broke in half. The impeller is broke once again, but this time, the plastic impeller blade came off of the metal post that spins it. Can I buy just the plastic impeller blade.
Ben January 21, 2016 for Model Number MHWE400WW01 Is there anyway just to buy the motor and just replace the motor to the pump. If you can where can I buy it ?
Crystal December 11, 2015 for Model Number WFW9600TW01 SUD F35 - cleaned many items, and they seem to help temporarily (drain basket, hose to pressure switch, drain hose on bottom of tub). I know something is wrong with my pump, but I don't know that this is my only issue. Also, it may be getting a bad signal from the control board (occasionally when I have it on drain it will put water in like it is on rinse). The pump impeller has a resistance like the magnet in the impeller is fighting against the coil. I took the coil off of the pump, and the impeller turns fine. There is some sort of semi-conductor mounted on the coil that may cause the pump to work correctly when energized; however, I can tell there is something wrong with my pump. The impeller will be turning fine, but then it meets with some kind of resistance...like it wants to either stop or go the other way...but something is still trying to send it in the other direction. I am not sure if the pump/coil/semiconductor is bad, or if something on the control board has gone bad. I have 3C dc at the pump connector before it starts. Then it drops down to mV. The signal is steady. When I stop it off, it goes back up to 3V dc. I ran the diagnostic (got a YES for the steam being ok). It stays on C00. After I cleaned the pressure switch hose, it walked completely through all steps with no problems. I thought YES that was it, but I put a load of clothes in...SUD...F35. HELP, PLEASE!
1 Answer Crystal, Based on the information it sounds like this will be a control board issue. The drain having voltage then dropping off would be the most clear indicator along with filling while in drain. The drain pump will have resistance when trying to turn the impeller because it is magnetic based. Read More...
