Ed S Oak Creek , WI December 27, 2015 My samsung wash machine would not finish a wash load without going out of balance while the machine was only several years old i was ready to drag it behind my car to the dump I ordered 4 Damper assemblies from Appliance Parts Pros. I found them on a video when searching for solutions to the issue. These damper rods just slide into collars- not tools needed and my problem has been solved!!!! The most difficult part was trying to figure out how to take the top of the washer off- but after removing 4 screws on the back the top lifted right off. Tina M Corpus Christi , TX February 01, 2016 Samsung washer kept going off balance we were always having to rebalance over and over praying that it would finish the cycle I was looking on line and found similar complaints on your site and a repair that seemed to work -- replacing the 4 suspension rods. You have a very concise video on how to do it that really worked, we are not fix-it people. Although our washer was a little different than the one in the video, replacing the rods themselves were the same. It was easy. What was different? Our back had different screws and we didn't have to take off a metal plate. BUT because we didn't have any brackets to help hold up the washer lid, hubby had to hold the lid in place while I changed out the rods. One rod, instead of a water line clip on the rod, the water line was wound twice around the rod. It was easy to redo it. Paul M Woodstock , GA October 12, 2020 Appliance: Samsung Washer WA5471ABW/XAA-00 Frequent out of balance error Replaced the suspension rods and balance ring. Suspension rods were fairly easy and may have solved it. But went ahead and did the ring. What was not obvious and planned for is the tub has to come out and the old ring separated from it. It is a part that was put together in a factory with a press. I used a reciprocating saw to cut a wedge out of the old ring. Then unfolded the crimped rim around the top of the tub and cut it off with tin snips.
