This thermal fuse is a safety device mounted on or near the blower housing inside the dryer. It is designed to blow and cut power to the dryer if the internal temperature exceeds a safe limit, preventing potential fire hazards. Replace this fuse if the dryer will not start or has no power at all - a blown thermal fuse is one of the most common reasons a dryer stops running completely.
The Thermistor is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. This part measures the temperature inside the dryer drum and sends this information to the control board, which regulates the heat to ensure efficient drying.

Replaced heating element about three months ago. Had to order thermistor because of error code "ts" on display and dryer would not run. Removed the two screws on the back that holds the top in place. After removing the top, remove the screws that hold the control panel on front. Make sure not to break the tabs that help hold it in place You do not have to unplug any connectors for the control panel.
