Ian M Foster City , CA August 02, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Dishwasher DMR78AHS/XAA-0000 Stretched gaskets (seals) While waiting for a replacement PCB, I cleaned the filter and soaked up the remaining water in the tub (dishwasher died mid-cycle) which entailed removing the dishwasher mesh filter and cover assembly of the pump assembly. The filter seal in the cover assembly and seal in the case scroll popped out. These two gaskets (seals) somehow had stretched and were very difficult to keep in their tracks while reassembling the pump assembly after cleaning. Replacement gaskets fit much better than the originals. I sprayed both gaskets with silicone lubricant (safe for rubber) before installing as they were powdery and possibly a bit dry. Brian H Independence , KY November 02, 2014 Heater went out on dishwasher After removing the heater went to local appliance repair shop only because wife loves the sanitize feature and uses it for the baby bottles so didn't want to wait. A problem came about when I started putting it back together. The original gaskets were stretched and were unusable. Parts store didnt have them and was going to take 7 to 10 days to get them in.
