Bad "moyher board" James S. • Peachtree City , GA • September 27, 2015

When the dishwasher would start it's wash cycle the motor would start for a second and turn off Ruben M. • Naperville , IL • April 21, 2014
I initially purchased a door switch, thinking that it would solve the problem. I replaced the switch by removing the top 6 star screws, removing the component cover and removing one of the door switches (using a 3/16 socket) with the new one that I bought but I still had the problem. Looking at the schematic, the next part that needed to be changed is the electronic control board, which I purchased. I removed the same screws again and cover, used a screwdriver to pull back the clips holding...

Error code "over fill" (flashing 'smart auto' and 'heavy' lights) cycle doesn't start in time for water to reach over fill sensor Patrick H. • Conyers , GA • May 19, 2015
Here's what the problem was:
Started the 'Normal' cycle... I closed the door... it calls for water, water fills, ECS sensor doesn't kick it to the next segment of the cycle (wash), so the water over-fills and reaches the over-fill sensor.
So many other are replacing the plastic 'case-brake,' main board, and the ECS sensor. I, however, was able to get by with just the ECS sensor replacement, which is known to be a faulty design by Samsung, supposedly.
The idea is replace the (1) most common...

Dishwasher wasn't drying or heating water Berit A. • Stafford , VA • November 27, 2015
After removing and testing the continuity for the heating element, then the thermostat, I wasn't sure what to check next. I chatted online, and Susan suggested the control board was the most likely problem. I'm only somewhat handy, so I was nervous when the part didn't arrive with instructions. All I needed was a screwdriver to removed the front panel of the dishwasher (and to lift the tabs on the plastic housing of the control board), and it's clearly labelled as to where to plug in each wire...

Whirpool dishwasher would not dry (heat) Ray T. • Gallaton , TN • June 16, 2015
There are 4 things that have to do with the working of the heating element in this dishwasher (assuming everything else is working). 1) The heating element itself, 2) the high-temp. thermal limit switch (sometimes called the thermostat), 3) the wiring from the heating element back to the control unit in the door, and 4) the control unit.
I replaced the heating element and that did not fix the drying problem. The high-temp. thermal limit thermostat checked good, with continuity at room...
