My fridge was too cold - everything was freezing solid, even in the produce bins. The air from the diffuser vent was constantly running. After unplugging the fridge and plugging it back in, the diagnostic code on the control panel indicated that the air diffuser was not working. I broke the ice bucket when the problem first started as I kept trying to get the ice out of the dispenser. I replaced the Icemaker Asembly in less than 5 minutes, 1 screw and that was that. Everything works great and my dispenser is back in action. I did have a repair man come out to correctly diagnose the issue as the parts were expensive and I wanted to make sure it was not a leak somewhere, but indeed the mechanism. Had to replace the auger. The auger on my ice maker was made of plastic and had broken pieces off it. The new one is made of metal and seems to work much better. Was a fairly simple repair. However pay close attention when disassembling, I recommend using your cell phone and snap a pic of the different stages as I became a little confused when putting it back together.
