This issue was with a refrigerator that we acquired with a house we bought. The freezer was cold, making ice well, overall doing great. The refrigerator was not cold however. I had this issue with our own refrigerator in the past, and it was related to the defrost fan not working and the coils freezing up. However this refrigerator's coils had no ice buildup. I determined that this was the part to get based on a previous reviewer's post who had a similar problem. I bought the controller, it shipped quickly and I received it two business days later. I followed the instructions of the previous poster and had the device installed in about an hour. The most difficult part or should I say tedious part was unscrewing and then replacing the panel and screwing everything back in. Replaced the defrost timer. It was not located where the parts explode suggested in the thermostat control box which is located in the upper right corner of the liner. It was in fact outside the freezer compartment on the back lower left support (when looking at the back of the freezer). It is secured with 2 sheet metal screws with a 1/4 hex head. The guy from sears quoted 450 dollars to replace the control board. That's an huge amount of money to throw on a fridge that's is only 3 years old. Did some research online and cane across appliancepartpros website and they had the parts for 130. Ordered it it was shipped to me in 2 days. The repair was easy. I tool the trim cover off of the front paneland there were 2 philip screws holding the control board ,removed the screws and removed the 3 mole connectors from the control board .the whole... We replaced the controller board and installed a surge protctor. The challenge was accessing the board It was underneath the refrigerator. We tipped the appliance and placed a couple of 2 x 4 pieces under the front edge. Read more

First I took the technical data sheet off the back of the unit, it was in a brown envelop taped and tucked into the lower equipment cover. My fridge was often reaching 60-70 degrees but would work well when motor/fans were running; it just wasn't cooling regularly.
