Corroded/ pitted/ broken drum support spider axle Lisa C. • Sumas , WA • December 20, 2015
I noticed my 5-year-old Samsung, front-loading washing machine started to sound like my kids were using it as a drum kit. I immediately checked it out and the stainless drum was wobbling so badly that I just took it for an unbalanced load of clothes. My gut was telling me that something was wrong because I had not remembered the machine being so loud before. I removed the clothes from the washer and I ran it empty to confirm my suspicions: the wobble was still there. I would say it had a 2"-3"...

Dc error code washer could not balance itself Leah H. • George West , TX • May 12, 2015
After lots of research online and considering buying a new washing machine, I finally came across a repair story on here, appliancepartspros.com. Someone with a similar washer and the exact same problem replaced the rods in the washer. So for under $60, it was worth a shot. The rods we took out looked the same as the ones we put in, but once we replaced them, the washer worked perfectly and we haven't had a problem since. Delivery was fast and the instruction videos made replacing them quick...

I shopped around a bit - found one retailer that only had 1 shock in stock, another that only stocked the front shocks, etc. There is definitely a difference in the springs between the green colored and white colored shocks! I've torn this washer down before, so I'm fairly familiar with how it's put together. I've seen some of the You-tube videos on replacing this item, and some of the videos show far more disassembly than is required. I only removed the front, top, and controls, and...

Moldy washer boot and wobbly spin cycle Michael D. • Basalt , CO • April 08, 2026
New parts from Appliance Parts Pro were spot on, what a relief not to get into and have wrong parts. Really happy with speed of delivery and ordering process.
Removed front cover, was able to access all 4 shocks from the front - time saver. Washer bellow and spring were a little bit of a finger buster, but after removing both bottom and top counter weights was super helpful. Using a 13MM socket to pinch the end of the shock absorber mounting pins was a great tip found here.
