Washer Outer Ecb Parts

I first checked to make sure the washer was level. The washer is on a concrete floor. After watching lots of you tube videos I ordered all the parts that could be causing this problem. I ordered: Balance Ring, Suspension Pad Kit (3 rectangle plastic wear pads), Tub Suspension Pads(3 curved plastic wear pads), Suspension Spring, and a Spanner Wrench tool. I researched the problem online and tried to troubleshoot it by unplugging the machine and holding the start button for five seconds. I plugged it back in and still no response, which indicated it was most likely a bad Main PCB. I order the part and with Appliance Parts Pros' superb standard shipping service I received it a day and a half later. Tore entire machine down to get to wash drum. Found it had a broken "spider" which is common with most front load machines. The drum is stainless steel but the spider is cast aluminum and it does not do well when exposed to laundry soap. It was pretty much disintegrated as a matter of fact. I took 2 screws out to remove the lid ,removed the knob unscrewed the 2 screws holding the timer unplugged 2 wire harnesses removed the old switch reversed the process to reinstall the new switch. It was very quick and easy every repair should be so simple Read more

Very easy - removed cover, removed dials (had to look at new one to see there were threads on the shaft so the dial had to be screwed out. Two screws holding timer to faceplate. Two connection plugs that came out easily. Job took 10 minutes. Read more

We ordered a new control board for the washer after seeing other success stories to resolve this error. I have never done any work on a large appliance, but figured I'd give it a shot. The diagnostic code readout was B2 which I could not find. I replaced the control board. Since I could return it if it was not the part that resolved the issue I chanced it and it was the fix. Thanks!! Read more

This was the 2nd time my husband and I had to replace the bearings in just over a year. This time we decided to replace the spider because of the corrosion on the shaft which goes through the water seal.
