Ice dispenser not working or coupling spins freely? This motor coupling connects the dispenser motor to the auger. 10-minute fix with channel lock pliers.
I first thought it was the auger in the ice container so I changed it and it was not the problem. I then talked to ApplianceParts customer service that it might be the yoke on the motor that turned the auger or even the motor itself even though it worked. I ordered the parts, the yoke was supposed to be able to be changed by itself but mind would not come off the motor shaft so I had to cut it off just to remove it from the unit so I had to change the motor anyway because of this. So I advise... Read more

Refrigerator shelf support stud.
My Whirlpool fridge is 12 yrs old. The crisper drawer supports finally gave up. I googled the make and model number for repair parts and AppliancePartsPros.com came up. I was actually surprised that I found the support peg and stud. I watched the video on their site on how to replace them, saw that it was easy and ordered the parts that afternoon. To my utter amazement the parts came via FedEx the following afternoon! I have to admit if I didn't watch the video I wouldn't have known how... Read more
Replacement fastener screw for appliances. Secures panels, trim, clips, and components. Needed when original screws are stripped, missing, or damaged.
Removed the handle with two screws on the inside front and pulled out the custom wood panel. Pulled the compactor out from under cabinet. Tipped it over on back of unit, supporting it with a little foot stool. Unscrewed two lower screws at bottom of unit holding black trim panel (that held wood panel in place) and lower black rubber flap. Removed two screws on lower outside side of unit that held the foot pedal. Slid off black U shaped metal frame from top of compactor towards bottom. Slid on... Read more

I decided if one needed replacing I might as well both two--made sense to me. None were available locally so I ordered them on-line. Surprisingly they came sooner than I expected. I also found a video on the internet that clearly showed the procedure. The actual repairs took 15 minutes or less. One good suggestion from the video was to run the screw in and out of the wheel bracket before final mounting. The video also suggested putting something under the corner to eliminate tipping. The... Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Received the element very quickly but it had been damaged in shipping. Called AppliancePartsPros to report this and they quickly shipped another element - very easy process. To install the element, I turned off the power to the range, put on rubber gloves (just in case) and removed the two sheet metal crews at the rear of the oven -... Read more

I agreed and received my part within 2 days. I watched the video that told me exactly how to complete repair. It was very simple. The only thing different was that there was a metal strip holding the gasket in place. Removing it was no problem. When I installed it I had to loosen the screws? nuts? slip the gasket... Read more
Secures the bottom grille to your refrigerator frame. Replace if the original clip is cracked, broken, or missing and the grille won't stay in place.
I had to remove a metal panel at the bottom back of the freezer as well as a couple of shelf slides in order to get at a drain pan in the back. It was frozen solid, so I stabbed at it with an ice pick until I broke through, followed up by poking a coat hanger in the drain hole to clear as much as I could, then poured a little boiling water over it to follow up. After screwing it all back together, the ice maker surprisingly was working again in less than 20 minutes. I also replaced a broken... Read more
Fix a refrigerator light that won't turn on or off when you open the door. This push-button switch senses door position. DIY repair in 30 minutes.
We actually were able to determine that one of the freezer switches was bad and taped it down for about 3 days. The beeping stopped. Our fridge has two freezer switches and one fridge side switch. I ordered all three from these guys. They were cheaper than Whirlpool by about $20 for parts and about $15 for shipping. The part numbers had superseded too many times to count, usually that doesn't matter but in this case it did. The new parts were just slightly bigger than the old parts AND... Read more
