The lid shut-off switch is located behind the lid How About That. I order the plastic ball the hold the lid in place plus the lid shut off switch. I watched the video that AppliancePartsPros.com has on how to replace the lid and the plastic balls. I assembled the switch just like the old switch look using the new... Read more
Dryer won't start, makes grinding noise, or drum won't spin? The drive motor powers the drum and blower. Moderately difficult repair, about 1 hour.
Checked thermal fuse, belt pulley switch, door switch, and motor windings (primary 2.3 ohms start 2,2 ohms). Called Appliance Pros, told them my problem. They said that it appears to be the motor even though the ohm readings seam Ok and that I could return the motor if it was not the problem. I ordred the motor and blower wheel. Installed the new motor and everything worked! The only difficult part was that the motor blower had to be chiseled out. Their motor repair video was a great help. Read more

Squealing or grinding noise from your washer? This thrust washer reduces friction between rotating parts. DIY-friendly repair with basic tools.
Upon removal of the lower inspection panel on the front of the machine, my 20 year old son thought the motor was bad by the smell. But he did discover what turned out to be the belt tensioner pulley laying inside the machine. After he pronounced it dead, without a thought to the idler pulley, I looked at the machine and determined the lack of movement was due to the idler pulley having "fallen" off the shaft by looking at the illustrated parts break down provided on this website. First, I rooked on YouTube for a video on how to fix it. The video brought me to a very helpful video with a link to your website. We have had this dryer since we bought the house 10 years ago and the thought of buying something new, that wasn't made as well was a dreaded thought. I went on the website, entered the model number of my dryer and then a search link for a parts search. Not knowing the part number, I was able to find the exact thing I needed. It was amazing and so easy! Had... Read more
