This is a tine clip, also called a tine row pivot, that is commonly used in dishwashers. It is located in the top dish rack. The tine clip is designed to ensure the tine row stays in the right place in the dishrack. The tine clip is made of durable plastic. It can become cracked or damaged through regular use and cause the tine row to move out of place in the dishwasher. If the part is damaged or broken, it will need to be replaced.Replacing the tine clip does not require any specific tools, but work gloves can be useful. Make sure to unplug the dishwasher and turn off the water supply to the appliance before starting the replacement process. Remove the components that restrict access to the tine clip before pulling the clip out of the dishwasher. The new component can be placed in the same location before reassembly. Turn the power and water back on before use. This tine clip is designed to be used with dishwashers manufactured by Ikea, Kenmore, and Whirlpool. It is sold as an individual product. This is an authentic OEM replacement component that is sourced directly from the manufacturer.

This control panel is the front console where you select wash cycles and options on the dishwasher. It restores a clean, intact interface and reliable input when the original console is damaged or worn. What it does:
I replaced the panel, for the third time in about 7 years. its a bit sad that A) kenmore/whirlpool cannot make a control panel that can last longer than 5 years of normal household use, and B) that the panel costs $135 . so that means that the $800 kenmore sits at $1070 in price, due to the two repairs that i have made over the last seven years. this control panel is about 10 or 12 switches, with a 15 pin ribbon cable that connects to the control module. i would rate this as about a $50... This dishrack organizes and supports dishes inside the dishwasher during wash cycles. Replacing a damaged rack restores smooth loading, keeps items upright, and helps prevent rust stains or snags from broken tines or flaking rack coating.
Kitchen Aid dishwasher is 11 years old, and the tines have been rusting and biting the dust one by over the last few years. Rather than further destroy my dishes by abrading them with rust particles, I decided to get new racks. They are terribly expensive, and I pondered getting a new dishwasher. It wouldn't be that much more expensive. But I love mine and how well it washes. It has a stainless interior, and all of the seals are in excellent shape. I didn't need any tools. (Although I'm a... The video on AppliancePartsPro is not for the part I ordered. After searching a bit I learned that I needed a 3/16" hex driver to remove the two screws that hold the assembly to the washer. After that it was easy. Just remove the two screws, take off the old one and attach the new one. Easy. Read more

I searched online for problems with that model. I found the appliance parts pros web site. It was the control board or the control panel. I ordered the control board. In 2 days it arrived and I put it in. That did not fix the problem. I then ordered the control panel. Again in 2 days it arrived and I installed it. That fixed it. I went online and printed out a return authorization for the control panel. I think the very liberal return policy of appliancepartspros is great! Read more

My nine year old said the following to me while I was looking for a tool to complete the task. "mom do you remember a couple of months ago when you and daddy were trying to fix something? You went to the store and bought tools and you ended up calling repairman to fix it? That's their job, mom. Repairmen fix stuff. You are not a repairman" I fixed this my self in just over a hour. Take that! Read more
