Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You F10 error code started flashing and my oven shut itself off temperature control failed   John C. M. • Ruther Glen , VA • July 15, 2014

After I came from from work, my wife told me about the problem. I quickly began to research the code F10 which according to the paper in the pouch behind my range said it needed a new temperature control sensor and that should fix it. It also said that if that doesn't fix the problem that I'd have to replace the circuit board which probably got fried due to the runaway temperature. So, I decided to just order the temperature sensor part# AP3963654 for $25.63 plus shipping. I ordered the part at... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The bottom heating element wasn't working in top oven   Kevin Scott W. • Parker , CO • January 09, 2015

Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You One day it didn't heat up for baking   Matthew M. • Greensboro , NC • July 01, 2017

Watched the video here, took the leap that burner was the problem and ordered it. Also found another vid on you tube that was more specific to my Kenmore. Tip: find out how to take off the oven door. For mine it was very easy but not detailed in the APP vid. I followed instructions in APP vid but also first took off back panel of range and tested resistance of old burner to ensure that was truly the problem (as suggested by other YT vid). Also, dis/connecting the wires from the back is easier... Read more
