I opted to save myself about $600 by repairing my 8 year old LG washing machine rather than buying a new one. After watching some videos I determined what I needed upon taking my washing machine apart. I ended up replacing the tub (includes spider and shaft), since I could not get the spider part removed from the original tub, as well as the motor bolt (which had broken when I removed it from the original tub's shaft). The spider was cracked and the shaft was wobbling which caused it to... Read more
This three coil solenoid is used for the cold water, bleach dispenser and prewash.
1. I unplugged the washer from outlet 2. I turned off the hot and cold water taps going to the washer (both just in case) 3. Draped a towel over back edge of washer and under where hoses coming from water outlets attach to back of washer (to catch any loose water out of the hose or screw nozzle leading to valve assembly, then unscrew (by hand) the cold water hose from back of washer (leave hot water hose alone as not needed). 4. Unscrew valve assembly from washer by two screws on back top of... Read more

Removed the top cover while the machine was operating, located the source of the leak. The top filler tube had worn a hole in a flex point. Found the right part on this site, replaced it with little effort. While in there I saw a similar hose and decided to replace it as its time was probably up too. So far so good, washing clothes and no leaks!! Great prices and best of all the right parts were delivered in a timely manner. Thanks for making this so easy. Only specialty tool used was hose... The Float Assembly is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This part monitors and controls the water level within the appliance. It's a safety feature that prevents water overflow and potential flooding, contributing to the efficient operation of the washing machine by maintaining the correct water level for each cycle.
Causes of a bad Float Assembly can vary from simple blockages that prevent the float from moving freely to electrical faults within the switch mechanism.
Symptoms of a bad Float Assembly include:
This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.
The hot inlet valve was dripping water, replaced it. Water and soap were coming out of the vent pipe. The new Float assembly had a shorter shaft than the old Float Assembly I was replacing. I did install the new Float Assembly and cleaned the vent hose where the float seats and I haven't seen any more water on the floor. Both repairs were made easy by watching your repair videos. The Bearing Ball is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This component plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of the washer drum, enabling it to rotate quietly and efficiently during the wash and spin cycles.
Causes of a bad bearing ball can include regular wear and tear, exposure to heavy loads, or insufficient lubrication. Over time, these factors can lead to deterioration and reduced performance of the bearing ball, potentially causing the washer drum to spin improperly or not at all.
Symptoms of a bad bearing ball include:
I removed the barrel from the inside of the washer, and removed the tub after that I punched out the bearings and replaced them with the ones that were sent which by the way I received within a couple of days. I ordered the inner bearing outer bearing and the seal. Read more
Seals between front and rear outer tubs to prevent water leaks during wash cycles. Replace if you notice leaking or during bearing replacement. Confirm fit with your model number.
Replacing the two bearings, and washers involved in the process Amazed by the service: I received the parts on the next day of the order, without requesting it. Parts were exactly as the original. This doesn’t mean necessarily the best on the market! In fact, the bearings are made in China, as the original! But if they last 9 years, as the originals, will be okay! The replacement was pretty easy, fallowing the video; but it needs time and patience. I’m very pleased of the experience. Read more
Washer won't drain or shows drain error? This drain pump assembly removes wastewater from the tub. Moderate DIY repair, 1-2 hours with basic tools.
I also noticed one of the two water recirculation outlets near the front door was no longer spraying water. When I took it all apart, I found that these two tub water recirculation outlets are both connected to the pump.. one was clogged. The impeller on the drain pump was no longer spinning with the motor.. looks like it was worn on the inside.. when I took the pump apart it was full of scale. I could have just ordered the motor...but I figured I would replace the entire assembly as I also... Read more
Directs water from inlet valve to detergent dispenser in LG washers. Replace if hose is cracked, leaking, won't stay attached, or damaged from wear.
I figured after 10.5 years that it might be time to replace the dispenser hoses because I was noticing black stuff in the dispenser trays. I replaced two or the four hoses and clamps on the far left side and for good measure the hot water inlet valve. The inlet valve was okay but the screen had all kinds of crap in there that I couldn't clean out so now I have an extra solenoid just in case one of the others fails. While I was at it I removed the dispenser and cleaned the calcium build up on... Read more
Replace your washer's drain hose if cracked, leaking, or damaged. Connects the pump to the standpipe for proper water drainage during wash cycles.
I suspected the tub gears where ready to break so I dismantled my LG WM2032HW front load washer. I found the spyder gear corroded and broken. I also found that the stainless steel drum abraded the front tub cover so bad, it was cracked. My washer is an early model and always had standing water in the door seal after a wash. What I learned is LG stopped making the orginal front tub cover and replaced it with one that had a drain hole at the bottom front edge. I also learned that this new... Read more
Motor harness wiring for washers. Connects motor to control board. Replace if wires are damaged, frayed, connectors broken, or harness is worn out.
My front loader LG washing machine wasn’t working correctly. The clothes were either coming out unwashed or completely dripping. When turning the washer on it would start up like normal and the turn off a few minutes in. Initially it was not displaying an error code, this made it very difficult to diagnose. One of the kids started a load not knowing we are having issues and it started making a clunking cringing noise, when I went to investigate the EL code was up. A few YouTube videos later... Read more
Fix LE error codes or grinding noises during spin with this washer rotor assembly. Pairs with stator to drive drum rotation. DIY repair in 30 minutes.
Technician wanted $700. I was able to fix it myself for around $300 in about a half hour with the great and helpful customer service of appliancepartspros.com. Parts arrived on time. Nice to know there is a company that really cares and they know there stuff. Read more
Fix no power, intermittent shutdowns, or breaker trips by replacing the noise filter assembly. Filters EMI from AC power to protect the control board.
Checked circuit breaker to d/w first. Good. Went to website to see no power issues. Most all of them mentioned the noise filter being the problem. Removed filter from machine and found the corner melted where fuse is located. Ordered new filter, installed, and now have power to switches. All the information I found on the website really made this a easy job to get done. Read more
Shipping bolt secures the washer drum during transportation or relocation. Replace if lost, damaged, or missing from original installation to prevent damage.
AppliancePartsPros.com carefully looked up and provided the correct bolts required so the washer drum would not move during transport. Representative really took the time to make sure we had the right bolts. That was important to me...no matter how long it took! The bolts arrived the next day as promised...I had to expedite them due to time limitations. They worked liked a charm and I have run the washer without missing a beat! thanks soooo much! Read more
Secures the drum during washer transport or relocation. Replace missing, stripped, or damaged shipping bolts to prevent internal movement and damage while moving.
Secures the stator to the motor assembly in your washer. Replace if bolt is stripped, spinning freely, or missing to restore proper motor stability.
I originally thought the washer had a bad bearing, but once I got it disassembled it the spider arms were broken. This required the replacement of the tub assembly. While replacing the tub I replaced all of the water bellows. The parts came quickly, the live chat and videos were very helpful. This washer has to be completely disassembled to replace the drum, so mark all the screw locations, tag and bag everything and take lots of pics. It was a very rewarding project and hundreds of dollars... Read more

The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back...
