This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. I went on line and found several appliance web sites promising to be able to get the parts to fix it. One website actually showed a video of how to fix it. It was a good video which showed everything involved and then easily showed me the parts list of the elements involved and how to fix it. Ordered oven door seal Part Number Y702338 (Whirlpool AP4291897) to replace the oven door seal on 30-year old Jenn-Air model S125 downdraft slide-in range. I called AppliancePartsPros and confirmed the part number, gathered my courage and asked my son-in-law to help. Thanks to another reviewer's suggestion, we placed a piece of wood about 3/4-inch thick between each of the door hinges and the frame of the oven before removing the door (to hold the hinges open and make it easy to put the door... Took apart the burner unit and replaced burned spade. Did not need the receptacle, so returned it, but did have to order the contact and lead wire that burned out in it, and what really caused the whole problem. That will be covered in another repair note for that part. Read more

I completely disassembled the entire unit sandblasted repainted with epoxy paint and reassembled. bought a few new parts and its like new again this unit is no longer available and its built into my boat. Read more
