So, I removed that belt from the pulleys and the removed the broken belt. then just reversed the process to install the belts. it toke me less than 30 minutes and my washer was back in service. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You No agitation.   Susan B. • Apple Valley , CA • August 09, 2020

This was some repair! My SG1000 stackable is over 30 years old and was purchased second hand. I've replaced many parts in the dryer section, but besides a water inlet, this was my first repair to the washer. All of a sudden it started making a terrible noise and was not agitating the clothes. The spin cycle worked fine. I first replaced the two belts on the bottom, but when I removed the old ones I realized they did not look terribly worn and weren't the cause. Many stories on here indicated... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The existing bake element was not working light bulb was also burned out.   Mike P. • Stone Mountain , GA • December 02, 2017

I simply removed and replaced the bake element and light bulb. The only difficulty I had was working around the open oven door. I relied on the Appliance Parts Pros videos for procedures on how to do this safely and correctly. I would not have attempted this repair without the videos. The only problem I had was the $5 screws ($10 for the two I purchased) were not the same type as the original scews and they did not "grip" the oven wall properly so I had to re-use the original screws which were... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Pretty much everything   Charlotteanne Y. • Kingston , IL • August 06, 2018

Here's the story. All my appliances except the dryer broke. Yeah. talk about bad luck. First I tried to fix the refrigerator. Replaced both motherboard and inverter board. Now it wakes up but the compressor does not kick in. Need another part. The washer, well I have to pull out the sink to get enough room to pull out the washer to fix it. Since the refriigerator is still in the middle of the kitchen, I don't need to tear apart another room. Nevertheless, let me say this, I love my "older"... Read more
