Move stove to unplug, remove rear center panel, indentify the two spade connectors that feed the heating element and remove (unplug) them. Remove two screws that hold the element to the inside rear wall of the stove and remove element. Install new element, plug in the previously removed spade connectors, re-install rear center panel, plug range (power) in, move stove back into place and enjoy. Read more

Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I broke two of the elements in my GE Profile cooktop because I failed miserably at removing the glass top. It pays to do your research, kiddies. All it takes is a Number 10 Torx bit to remove 12 screws holding the glass to the body of the appliance, and it lifts straight up. I ordered a new door glass from appliancepartspro.com it came within two days, but I forgot to order the 8 pieces of foam tape, assuming it would also be included in with the order, it wasn't, so after waiting for that to arrive, it was fairly easy, job after watching the video.
