This is a mounting bracket that holds the moisture sensor in place inside the dryer drum area. The moisture sensor detects how wet the clothes are and signals the dryer to stop when they are dry. Replace this holder if it is cracked, broken, or missing, which can cause the moisture sensor to shift out of position and lead to clothes being over-dried or under-dried.

After unplugging the dryer from the wall socket, I used a screwdriver ( Phillips ) to remove the light cover fixture. This gave me access to the bulb which had burned out. I first use my fingers to remove the bulb but the base came lose from the glass bulb. I then used a needle nose pliers to remove the metal base of the bulb from the light fixture. I have order three parts, guide filter, cover guide, and sensor assembly. My previous cover guide was from two parts, when sensor assembly was one of them.
