I had a over level water alarm. First I installed the level sensor and that did not fix the problem. Second I installed the Brake;DMT800,R. After installing the brake I had a leak detection alarm and could not get the dishwasher to reset so with the dishwasher still out of the cabinet and the metal plate off of the side. Research indicated that it may be a moisture sensor failure or a leak. It ended up being a leak from the oil seal on the motor shaft. A small piece of plastic made it's way into the system. The hot water softened it enough that it wrapped around the motor shaft, re-hardened, then tore into the shaft seal. I fixed it by replacing the shaft seal, moisture sensor (corrodes when it gets wet), and replaced the sump seal since I had it disassembled. Read more

Removing the door panel was easy -- remove 6 Torx screws, and the panel falls off. Next you need to remove an electrical plug and 2 individual wires from the old dispenser. The plug came right off, but the wires were not easy to access, and they fought me more than I expected. With some pliers and wiggling, they eventually let go and came free. 2 year old dishwasher- "LE" leak sensor - found tinny leak in the shorh drain hose in - upon removing it this hose was found to be BRITTLE - VERY BRITTLE - main drain hose is fine - samsung says that this isnt a problem but have read quite a few complaints - easy fix unce unit is turned upsidedown. With the door front off, during the drying cycle you could see drops of water ennng down the exhaust, dripping on the floor. The design allows for some water but not the amount we were seeing. Replacing the complete assembly fixed the problem. I took apart the old vent assembly and found it slightly warped and the cool air fan which pulls air into the vent assembly had significant dust, dirt and cat hair. Based on the apparent relation to draining that I found on the internet I decided to open/unscrew the areas under the bottom rack where the water is pumped out. One obvious issue I observed was the drain check valve was turned and not functioning. It appeared to be swollen and stretched.
