I had a over level water alarm. First I installed the level sensor and that did not fix the problem. Second I installed the Brake;DMT800,R. After installing the brake I had a leak detection alarm and could not get the dishwasher to reset so with the dishwasher still out of the cabinet and the metal plate off of the side. Research indicated that it may be a moisture sensor failure or a leak. It ended up being a leak from the oil seal on the motor shaft. A small piece of plastic made it's way into the system. The hot water softened it enough that it wrapped around the motor shaft, re-hardened, then tore into the shaft seal. This is the complete detergent dispenser assembly for a dishwasher, responsible for holding and releasing detergent and rinse aid at the appropriate time during the wash cycle. Removing the door panel was easy -- remove 6 Torx screws, and the panel falls off. Next you need to remove an electrical plug and 2 individual wires from the old dispenser. The plug came right off, but the wires were not easy to access, and they fought me more than I expected. With some pliers and wiggling, they eventually let go and came free.
