This is a small coupling washer that connects the ice crusher drive mechanism in the refrigerator's freezer compartment. It transfers rotational force from the motor to the ice crushing blades, allowing the dispenser to crush ice properly. Replace this part if the ice dispenser runs but does not crush ice, makes grinding noises, or if the coupler appears worn, cracked, or stripped.

Ice bin won't release or latch broke? This ice bin latch spring provides tension to secure the ice container properly. Easy 10-minute DIY fix.
Easy to remove the metal parts from the old bin. The only problem was that the screw that holds the adapter has red thread locker and screwdriver rounded off the head of the screw. Drilled the screw and heated the screw to loosen the thread locker and used an ease out to remove the screw. Read more

Removed the handle with two screws on the inside front and pulled out the custom wood panel. Pulled the compactor out from under cabinet. Tipped it over on back of unit, supporting it with a little foot stool. Unscrewed two lower screws at bottom of unit holding black trim panel (that held wood panel in place) and lower black rubber flap. This black plastic drip tray mounts beneath the water and ice dispenser on the front of the refrigerator door. It catches overflow water, ice chips, and drips to keep the floor clean. Replace it if the tray is cracked, warped, discolored, or no longer snaps securely into position.

The refrigerator water dispenser lever arm activates water flow when pressed and returns to position when released. Replace when the lever becomes stuck, breaks off, or fails to properly activate the water dispensing mechanism.
The water dispenser stopped working on my Sears Kenmore (Whirlpool) side-by-side refrigerator and after much research on the web I purchased the parts that commonly failed for this condition. I should have first taken the dispenser assembly apart but I didn't--it looked a little too intimidating to do twice. This mounting bracket is part of the water and ice dispenser assembly on the front of the refrigerator door. It secures the dispenser control panel or lens in place and ensures proper alignment of the dispenser components. Replace this bracket if the dispenser panel is loose, misaligned, or if the bracket is cracked or broken.

Replaced both sets of door cams on my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The most important thing to know is that you DO NOT have to remove the doors from the refrigerator to replace BOTH sets of cams. You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit).
