This coupling sleeve connects and protects the drive shaft that powers your appliance's auger or rotating mechanism. It provides a flexible connection that absorbs vibration while transferring rotational power between shaft sections. Replace this coupling if you hear grinding noises, experience reduced performance, or if the auger stops turning completely.

Had to replace the auger. The auger on my ice maker was made of plastic and had broken pieces off it. The new one is made of metal and seems to work much better. Was a fairly simple repair.
