Kenmore model 106.74252402 fridge with icemaker. Believe it or not, this was fixed with only a 1/4" nutdriver. The parts fit exactly and took 10 minutes each to replace. Took access panel off the back of the refrigerator with 1/4 inch nut driver and found that the compressor was not running properly (humming and hot but not compressing). The compressor cooling fan was working as well as the fan in the freezer compartment. I fixed the same problem with another refrigerator by replacing the relay and start capacitor on the compressor. Secures the water filter and maintains watertight seals to prevent leaks. Replace if cracked or leaking at tube connections to restore water flow.

Then unscrew the original filter housing and pull it out through the back of utility opening. Remove the two water hoses and put them into new filter house. I called appliance parts pro and they sent out a replacement. Just a note - you really need to get the model numbers "right" because if you don't you end up with the wrong parts. When I checked the refrigerator and got the correct numbers the part I ordered the second time fit fine. I was able to send the "wrong" part back without any hassle. The mistake was mine but Appliance parts Pro got me back on track and I will definitely use this company again. Read more
