Whenever the drawer was opened, it would fall of the guide rails. This lead to the drawer being crooked several times. I took the drawer out and noticed one of the glides was missing. Ordered a new pair, popped it on and now the drawer slides properly. Read more
This assembly includes the motorized latch mechanism and integrated switches that lock and unlock the oven door during the self-cleaning cycle. It secures the door shut when the oven reaches high temperatures and signals the control board when the door is properly latched. Replace this part if the oven door won't lock or unlock, the self-clean cycle won't start, or you receive a door lock error code.
I knew the door latch was suppose to lock for self clean and it wasn't, so I took the back off and after tracing out wires and the linkage to the door latch, determined that it was a faulty motor on the latch lock. This oven was a Kenmore model #66595822003. I replaced both spring hinges. This oven was a white oven so it took the MFG# WP8053807 hinge (order two of them). They are the same hinge. No left or right. To get the door off the oven, open the door all the way open, I installed pins (preferably only 1/4" long) in the holes of both hinges. Could not level stove. Front leveling legs had pieces broken out where leg contacted floor.
