This was a two and half year issue as different things failed at different times. I would get one part, then another would fail. Ultimately, I got to a point where what failed, I hadn't been ordered the part yet. The seal on the freezer door took three bathing's before it plumped up and un-creased. The directions on the box it is shipped in said to heat the seal up in hot water then cool it down with tap water. I didn't need to do that. It took a lot of massaging of the seal, but... Read more

We bought a new house that has a 15 year old GE Monogram built in fridge. The home warranty people sent two guys out saying it was nearly impossible to repair the fridge and they both suggested buying a completely new freezer door for the fridge and of course the warranty company said it was preexisting and we weren't covered. Shocker. I have lighting in the freezer but not the fridge. I purchased a door switch and replaced the old one but that didn't do the trick. So i purchased a 2 amp fuse... Read more
The Left Hand Slide Assembly is an OEM component for GE bottom-mount refrigerators. It sits on the left side and smoothly guides the refrigerator shelf inserts in and out. This slide measures Approx 10 inches x 1 3/8 inch x 1 5/16 inch.
Symptoms of a faulty slide assembly include:
Causes relate to typical wear and tear over time under regular use. Improper loading of shelves can also potentially damage slide machinery.
For the right hand side order WR72X242. For the slide bearing order WR1X2048.
This GE replacement restores smooth shelf functionality, compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and select Kenmore models as well.
The new slides fit perfectly. One thing to mention is that the slide rails come with the slide bearings so you do not need to buy those separate. When I called I was told I needed the bearings so I bought 3 assuming I would be able to salvage the others. Turns out I did not need them. Read more
The Condenser Fan Blade is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. It is responsible for moving air across the condenser coils to help dissipate heat, allowing the refrigerator to maintain the proper cooling temperature.
