Replaced broken handle Read more

Removed & replaced baffle. Make sure you have a 1/4" nut driver. You can't see the nut that is at a 90 degree angle from the front of the refrigerator. There is a second nut hidden behind the air filter at the back of the compartment as well. Once you remove these two, the plastic housing comes off & the assembly (which is mostly made of Styrofoam) is easily replaced. Read more

Easy fix. Took two screws out of top door hinge. Lifted door off of bottom hinge. Laid door on blanket on floor. One cam part went on the hinge that was on the fridge, snapped in place. One cam part went on bottom of door, one screw to replace. Replaced door on bottom hinge then put top hinge back on. Job done. Read more

I purchased replacement parts to completely replace basket, face plate, and rollers. I received exactly what I ordered. The only problem I had was removing the part(s) from the shipping box. I thought the part came assembled (as rollers had been installed onto the basket), but the face plate had not been snapped into place. Removed the handle with two screws on the inside front and pulled out the custom wood panel. Pulled the compactor out from under cabinet. Tipped it over on back of unit, supporting it with a little foot stool. Unscrewed two lower screws at bottom of unit holding black trim panel (that held wood panel in place) and lower black rubber flap. I don’t think I needed the capacitor and relay, but while I was at it I figured I would. Originally we found we had an issue when water cane out of the ice maker. The freezer was hovering around freezing and the refrigerator was about 33 deg. I unplugged the refrigerator and it came back on and ran about a day. The next night, same thing. Replaced the tube. The original part number could not be found. This tube that we ordered had an curved connector at the bottom and a hard connector on top. The original tube had a right angle connector on the bottom and a smaller connector on the the top. The curve on the bottom worked. We had to cut the top connector off the tube for it to fit. We then secured it with the original metal bracket at the top. No leaks! All working fine now. Read more
