We ordered a door switch, dryer latch and strike plate. We realized that we only needed to replace the door switch. We watched a few videos and then replaced the switch. I found out the black streaks on clothes is because I need to change the dryer bearing slides. Further examination shows the bearing top support was cracking. Also the slides were also worn out which made black oily marks. I replaced all 4 slides. They were 2 different kinds. It was fairly easy but putting the dryer back together was a little tricky and took awhile because all the notches had to match up. These parts did fix the problem. Upon examination of the dryer, I noticed that the belt was intact, though a little worn and hard. However, I noticed that the belt had came of the idler pulley. The Inlet Control Thermistor is an OEM part for GE dryers. It monitors and regulates the temperature of the incoming air to ensure optimal drying performance. This thermistor sends temperature readings to the dryer's control board, which adjusts the heating element accordingly to maintain the desired temperature throughout the drying cycle.
You should replace this inlet control thermistor if it becomes faulty or fails to provide accurate temperature readings. Common causes of a bad thermistor include electrical failures, damage from overheating, or wear and tear from regular use.

Replaced the inlet control thermis (thermostat) . Now it completes the cycle but clothes are not 100 % dry. I would add 15 minutes more and that helps.
