The Pan Bottom Assembly is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. This component is the bottom drawer or bin in the refrigerator, typically used for storing fruits and vegetables at optimal humidity levels. It slides into the lower part of the refrigerator, offering convenient storage that helps keep produce fresh longer by maintaining a separate climate from the rest of the refrigerator. It measures approximately 22 inches wide, 15 inches tall, and 19 inches deep.
Symptoms of a failing Pan Bottom Assembly include:
Causes of a bad pan bottom assembly often involve excessive weight being placed inside the drawer, frequent use which can lead to wear and tear, or temperature fluctuations that cause the material to weaken or deform over time.
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
Ordered new drawer from your company. It fit beautifully. Thanks. Read more
Left-hand drawer slide rail for refrigerator crisper or sealed pan drawers. Replace cracked, broken, or damaged rails for smooth drawer operation.
The new slides fit perfectly. One thing to mention is that the slide rails come with the slide bearings so you do not need to buy those separate. When I called I was told I needed the bearings so I bought 3 assuming I would be able to salvage the others. Turns out I did not need them. Read more
If your refrigerator compartment isn't cooling while the freezer stays cold, the evaporator fan motor likely failed. DIY-friendly repair with video guide.
I changed the motherboard - computer and also changed the motor in the freezer, because it was doing a howling sound every time it turned on. The repair technician asked for $500 for a repair and that is on top of the $230 I paid him two days before. I looked up the parts and decided to try myself and it paid off. Great instructional videos. Thanks Read more

First, cleaned all the dirt and lint from the condenser radiator, the fan motor is in a metal housing holding the fan motor in place. look carefully and there is a sheet metal screw at the bottom of the housing, 1/4 inch screw head sheet metal screw. Spring that provides closing tension for the refrigerator water/ice dispenser door flap. Keeps the dispenser sealed when not in use. Replace if door hangs open or won't close.
My refrigerator is 13 yrs old and began to build up frost in the ice cube shoot and the water tube began to freeze up over night. The flapper door was not closing completely. I simply removed the control panel by pulling up and out on the bottom edge, the edge is only about 1/8 inch thick, so don't reach in to far. You should be able to feel a small division line between the control panel and the refrigerator. No screw driver was needed to expose the 4 mounting screws of the inner dispenser... Read more
Fix a refrigerator that won't cool or has temperature control issues with this main control board. Moderately difficult repair, taking 15-45 minutes.
The indication was that when I tried to use the icemaker or water dispenser, the green LED on the front would dim and the ice maker dispenser wouldn't work. It was intermittent at first, but this indicated it may be a power management issue, in that insufficient voltage was getting to the ice dispenser motor. I unplugged the unit to reset the electronics for about a minute, and when I plugged it back it the compressor would try to turn on (solenoid or relay would click about every two... Read more
Rubber grommet cushions and stabilizes the evaporator fan motor in your refrigerator. Replace if cracked, worn, or missing to reduce vibrations and noise.
My refrigerator's cooling fan was making a noise. It wasn't loud; in fact, it was barely discernible. However, it was just loud enough to annoy me. The fan blade was hitting the shroud every now and then, creating a subtle, yet annoying sound. I'd tried tightening all the screws back there, and it helped-for a while. The noise came back. After looking at the fan motor, I noticed the bushings; it occurred to me that they might be the culprit. And why not? They were the originals installed at the... Read more
Connects water supply tubing sections in your refrigerator. Replace this plastic compression union if it's cracked, leaking, or broken. Installs inline.
We noticed a puddle of water in front of the fridge a couple of months ago-dried the floor up both times and thought someone had dropped ice-or spilled water. A couple of weeks ago there was water dripping through the dropped tile ceiling in the basement. I shut off the water for the water supply to the fridge at the copper pipe in the basement and removed some of the tiles which felt a little damp. It still dripped all day. When my spouse came home he pulled down more of the tiles. It was as... Read more
The Run Capacitor is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. It plays a crucial role in the refrigerator's cooling system by providing the necessary start and run voltage to the compressor. Without a properly functioning run capacitor, your refrigerator may struggle to maintain the desired temperature, leading to spoiled food and inefficient energy use. Causes of a bad run capacitor include electrical surges, wear and tear over time, or overheating due to a malfunctioning refrigerator compressor or poor ventilation. Symptoms of a bad Run Capacitor include:
This OEM GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.
We replaced the main circuit board and the LED started to work and the condenser fan worked, but all we had were relay clicking sounds, but no cooling. The compressor had become so hot trying to work when the main circuit board was amiss, that it had popped the over temperature sensor on its side. As some one point out, if you remove the PTC+OLP assembly with the capacitor on it, and shake it, you will hear a rattle inside---and that is bad. We ordered a second round of parts from... Read more

Interior light not working when door opens? This light switch controls refrigerator illumination. DIY-friendly install takes 30-45 minutes with video.
I ordered a new switch from APP and fixed my fridge. However, the video posted for this repair on this site is not applicable to newer refrigerator models. I have a 2015 GE GTE18IHCRSS and had to drop the control housing (#432 in the diagram) to attach the wire/plug assembly to the switch. Only had to remove the front screw with a 1/4" nut driver and that provided enough of a gap for me to plug in the switch. So the correct method to replace the light switch in a newer model refrigerator is as... Read more
Replaces the dispenser lever on your refrigerator's front panel. Order a new lever if yours is cracked, broken, or missing. Installs on the dispenser housing.
I had started to order the part from GE at $34.95 + shipping when I did a search and found AppliancePartsPros.com. I was able to get the same part for half of the price of GE. I placed the order and actually to my surprise received the part the very next day. I watched the video provided on-line to see how to replace the part. It took me about 10 minutes and everything is working well. Beats paying a repairman to come out on their schedule and do the same thing at, I am sure, a much higher... Read more

Seals freezer door to prevent warm air entry and cold air loss. Replace if torn, cracked, or causing frost buildup. Confirm fit with your model number.
The freezer door on my 12-yr old GE side-by-side refrigerator/freezer would not stay completely shut resulting in temperature variations and ice buildup from outside humidity seeping into the freezer compartment. These problems were exacerbated by the fact that this appliance is located in my garage in the heat / humidity of the Atlanta, GA area. I applied a thin layer of petroleum jelly to the gasket which improved the seal but did not completely solve the problem. I discovered that... Read more

Water or ice dispenser not working? This dispenser switch activates when you press the lever. Easy DIY repair—takes about 30 minutes with basic tools.
After disconnecting power to the fridge, I first removed the ice maker/water dispenser/fridge control faceplate. This easily popped out using a flat head screw driver. Then disconnected the 3 wire harness connections to the control board. I next removed the plastic dispenser housing shield. There's only 4 screws that hold this on. Finally, I removed the Micro-switch, disconnected the two wire connectors and installed the replacement switch and reinstalled everything. The repair took only... Read more
