Gordon T Jonesboro , AR January 27, 2017 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator SSL27RGRBBS Water tank leak Our refrigerator takes care of my wife and I, along with our children when they visit, and the grand kids. Over the years, it's seen its fair share of wear and tear. Thankfully, nothing major has happened that hasn't been able to be repaired right here in the home, and by me. Our refrigerator is a GE side-by-side with an ice maker/water dispenser, and has held up well. I've ordered parts for it from AppliancePartsPros.com for all of its repairs, and while GE/Frigidaire have been changing out a few of their designs for parts replacement, it's not been that difficult to make the repairs we've needed to make. The one thing that makes it the easiest, is the videos for repairs that you offer for part changes. I know that you can't do every part for every specific application, but you do cover things generally enough, that being somewhat mechanically handy, makes it very simple to do the transition I need to do from time to time with the various models of videos you use, verses the model that I actually have. Most of them are so close, while some are exactly the same, that it makes it a breeze to do the things I've had to do to keep our refrigerator up and running and keep repair cost down, and replacement at bay. Thank You for all the help and the parts availability. Customer service over the phone that I've had to use when making order changes from a few mistakes that I've made while ordering, has been very professional and helpful to make those corrections, and also made sure that I was ordering the right parts for my refrigerator just to double check. Thanks again, you have a customer that'll stay right here for my future appliance needs. Next is the washing machine! Hang on, here we go??? Kenneth S Richmond , VA July 15, 2014 Appliance: Model DSS25KGRA WW No water coming out of the water dispenser in the door I discovered water in the bottom of the refrig. After removing the bottom drawers, I pressed the water dispenser and saw water coming out of the "water tank" on the back wall of the refrig. I took pictures and got the model number of the refrig. and called Appliance parts PRO. the lady helped me find the part. I ordered it online. It came the next day. I tood the bottom panel off the back and the front panel off the botom of the front(two screws and two clips) Removed the old tank and hoses, installed the new one and pushed the hoses back on. Pretty easy. Took about an hour to get the refrig reassembled and pushed back to place. David M Franklin , IN December 01, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator DSS25KGREWW Water not dispensing through the door Watched several on-line repair videos. Saw ice on the water tank in the fridge side. Thawed it with hair dryer, and the tank had cracked. Ordered a new water tank, and replaced it and thawed the dispenser area on the freezer door inside and out. Took 30 minutes alternating inside and out then the line melted clear and worked fine. When routing the tank water lines you'll need to guide them past the solenoid from the back underneath, and there is a slot for the water line that runs to the door in the plastic flap that runs underneath the fridge which the line must run through or it will seem too short to make the connection. Also open both door when working on the water line connections in from. It is very tight in back connecting to the valve you'll get cut easily.
