This is a grommet and gasket assembly that seals the ice maker water fill tube where it passes through the freezer wall. It prevents warm air from entering the freezer compartment and stops moisture from building up around the fill tube opening. Replace this assembly if you notice frost or ice buildup around the fill tube entry point, water leaking near the ice maker, or if the existing grommet is cracked or deteriorated.

The installation in a nut shell is warm the seals in a bathtub with very hot water for at least 2-3hrs then place the seals. Then warm the seals with a hair dryer as needed. Had some confusion of what part I needed, needed the one with the motor and thermostat. Fortunately, I've been fixing wiring for many years, I simply cut the new motor out of the harness, and used that nice glue-inside-heat-shrink tubing to seal the soldered 'Western Union' style splices. Checked both door gaskets and tried to heat them back into shape but it did not work so I ordered the gasket replacements. they arrived two days later one was right the freezer door came in the wrong color but I used it anyways. The hinge broke on the ice dispenser funnel and housing. I took them off and replace them, putting the old switches and bulb in the new housing. This evaporator fan motor dust cap is an authentic OEM replacement part found on refrigerator and freezer fan motors. This dust cap prevents the fan motor bearing and housing from being damaged by dirt and debris. If the dust cap is cracked or broken, the fan may make loud squealing noises.
