Replace your cooktop's downdraft blower motor when ventilation fails or makes unusual noise. Restores proper exhaust function. Verify fit with your model.
I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more

The representative said that they would send a new part, refund the shipping charges and give me a discount on my next order! That's REAL customer service! The part arrived in two days. I installed it and it worked perfectly! Read more

Be careful not to tighten or twist the small hex nut in the knob cylinder/housing with force. there is a very small plastic set tab that can be broken off easily. how do I know? The orientation of the switch "box" is horizontal instead of vertical. otherwise, this replacement part # works as expected. I couldn't get the switch to attach plate removed, and the switch removed, without removing the entire cooktop and removing the top glass burner cover. Not difficult, but time-consuming. Read more
Burner not heating? This 6-inch surface heating element restores heat to electric cooktop burners. Easy DIY repair with basic tools in under 30 minutes.
Repair: Replace damaged heating element. Troubleshooting: Locating the problem was easy using an ohm meter. The resistive wire element had very high resistance when it should be <50 ohms. I was then able to see the burnt gap in the filament. My problem was not the heat controller, which is simply a bi-metal switch that flexes to break electrical contact. It pushes against an adjustable spring force you set with the knob position. It should ohm like a switch. Part Locating: Easy with the... Read more

This rear trim is a factory-style replacement piece that restores the finished back edge of your 30-inch range or cooktop for a clean, factory look and to help protect internal components from debris. What it does:
This was an easy fix on my Jenn-Air: I just had to lift the cooktop out of the counter and then take out a few screws around the sides of the unit to lift off the old glass surface. Then just set the new glass top in place and put the screws back. The burners, etc. are not connected to the glass cooktop so you don't have to do disconnect/connect them or any other internal parts.
