Move stove to unplug, remove rear center panel, indentify the two spade connectors that feed the heating element and remove (unplug) them. Remove two screws that hold the element to the inside rear wall of the stove and remove element. Install new element, plug in the previously removed spade connectors, re-install rear center panel, plug range (power) in, move stove back into place and enjoy. Read more

This is a high-amp SPDT (single pole, double throw) switch used in the oven door mechanism. It detects whether the oven door is open or closed and signals the control to enable or disable certain functions such as the oven light or broil element. Replaced faulty latch with new latch. New latch was different configuration, but the fit was okay. The only issue was that the wires to the electric motor were just barely long enough. Worked with phone person at AppliancePartsPros and determined problem could be either the latch motor or the circuit board. Ordered parts for both the latch motor and the control circuit board. Since a relay on the board was clicking and the motor would not budge, I installed them both and oven is working again!! The fan was straightforward unscrew and disconnect wires then reinstall. The gaskets required the door to be disassembled contrary to the video that was provided when purchasing the gasket for the door.
