Tried to turn the microwave on, checked the outlet for power, check the breaker to see if it was tripped, all was in order. Printed out and followed the online written instructions and referred to the video several times. For us, it was a two person job to safely support the front of the microwave while removing the two mounting bolts which go through the cabinet from above. This fan motor assembly cools the magnetron inside the microwave by circulating air to prevent overheating during operation. It includes the motor and fan blade as a complete unit. Replace this assembly if the microwave shuts off unexpectedly due to overheating, makes unusual noises during use, or the fan is no longer spinning.
The microwave was shutting off after operating fine for a minute or two. Found that the fan that cools the magnetron had its fan blade assembly spinning free on the fan motor's output shaft. Tried to epoxy the two and failed. Ordered a new fan assembly and it is fixed. Read more
