I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. Door gasket was easy to remove and reinstall. Original gasket was penetrated while cleaning food stuff from folds in the seal below the frig doors. (Gasket is very fragile so don't try to expand the folds while cleaning. I used my finger and a paper towel but in hindsight should have used a Q-Tip. Also, when installing the new gasket you have to be sure the seam folds over the edge of the door and doesn't get caught underneath. Read more

I watched the video on replacing the switch on a side freezer where prying out to original switch did not look difficult. I then got on the floor and tried to pry out my switch. Had a terrible time (locking tab or switch body hardened with time?) and mangled the switch terribly and the upper panel of the freezer somewhat, but the switch did come out. Toughest part of this repair is figuring out how to get things apart. Amana doesn't provide you a repair manual showing how to disengage the various plastic covers. Initially disassembled the bottom freezer compartment so I could get to the evaporator coils; they were completely frozen in block of ice, restricting air flow to the fridge above. After taking the two vegetable drawers out from above, the glass shelf, the pantry drawer and the cross support for the glass, you can get to the two recessed hex head screws holding the end cap. You will need to transfer the metal drawer slide to the new cap, but it doesn't need to come off first. When the end cap is loose, gently rotate it toward the front. Once the humidity control slide is at 90 degrees from the back of the refrigerator, the tab holding it in place will slip out easily.... Read more

The little piece that holds crisper drawer on broke off. Every time pull drawer out lid fell off. I ordered left side panel. All I had to do was take drawer out unscrew old part take track off old part put on new part and screw back in. Took 5 minutes very cheap easy repair. Read more

If the freezer is cold and the fridge is hot, logic would indicate that the fan blowing the cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator is not working. Searched the ApplicancePartsPros.com website for a fan in the freezer compartment and found the video on how to replace one. Followed the steps in the video to get the freezer partially disassembled and found the whole back of the freezer frozen over. We were experiencing slow water flow from our Whirlpool interior water dispenser. The water would flow normally for a couple of seconds then subside to a trickle. After replacing the water filter and inlet valve, research suggested that the water filter head could be the culprit. I bought the listed condenser fan motor for my Maytag refrigerator. Access to the condenser fan is by removing sheet metal screws of bottom panel with 1/4 in. nut driver. Condenser fan is on left side of rear access area. Remove electrical connector by pressing-in connector release tab with thumb fingernail and pulling on connector.
