This defrost heater is mounted near the evaporator coils and generates heat to melt frost buildup during the automatic defrost cycle. It helps maintain proper airflow and cooling efficiency inside the refrigerator. Replace this heater if you notice excessive frost on the evaporator coils, the refrigerator is not cooling properly, or the freezer section is warm.
Total repair took slightly over 1 hour. Would have taken longer had I not already have taken the freezer apart on a previous occasion. I had my grandson, as he is more agile, replace the Drip Pan. The only real issue was the removing and reinstalling the Fan module. Strongly suggest to view the provided Video a couple of time to save frustration. As not in video, you do not need to remove the water line as the whole back panel will just fold up and out of the way. A 1/4" nut driver is the only tool you need.
