Mounts on the bottom of the freezer door.
Replaced both sets of door cams on my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The most important thing to know is that you DO NOT have to remove the doors from the refrigerator to replace BOTH sets of cams. You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit). My fridge has an ice and water dispenser where the water and electrical lines go through the cams on the left side. Be sure to order the correct parts as the cam holes on the freezer side... Replaced the 2 parts that had broken (due to the wrong plastic selection by Kenmore IMO. The motor needed to be re-clocked but this video https://youtu.be/QK8C8rxbkhc gave the information needed. After being told by a service repairman that it would cost me close to $200 to repair, I resolved to just not use the dispenser. After about a year, I had decided that I wanted to repair it and would look at the options myself. At the least, I could figure out which parts were needed to repair it and have them on hand for a service guy if I determined I could not do the job myself. The more I studied it, the more I felt confident that I could do it, and sure enough, when the part arrived - a... Read more
