Rubber Seal
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP22002417

This rubber seal creates a tight barrier between mating components to keep water contained and stop drips. Replacing a flattened or cracked seal helps prevent leaks and protects nearby parts from moisture-related damage. What it does:

  • Forms a watertight gasket between two parts in the assembly
  • Helps prevent drips or seepage at the connection point
  • Restores proper compression when the original seal hardens or deforms
  • Common signs of failure: leaks, dampness, or visible cracking/flattening of the old seal
What's included:
  • 1 rubber seal
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power; for water-bearing assemblies, shut off the water supply
  • Access the seal location per your service information and note orientation/depth before removal
  • Clean mating surfaces; lightly moisten the new seal with water or mild soap to ease installation
  • Ensure the seal is fully seated, reassemble, and test for leaks
