Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You 1 water leaking on the floor at left side and 2 occasionally tub filling a number of inches when sitting   Kenneth S. • San Carlos , CA • April 15, 2016

1. Sleeve for input, Injector valve, nozzle and seal for input fixed this problem. Probably the main part that was the trouble was a deformed Injector Valve which is a rubber tube with an internal retention groove at the wide part that grips the Nozzle. The Sleeve and the Nozzle are hard plastic parts that basically looked fine, but I replaced them anyway while I was in there. Additionally I replaced the rubber Seal for Input which seals the plastic input fitting to the tub just to make sure... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Broken injector   Matt M. • Wheat Ridge , CO • June 28, 2019

An easy fix for the most part. I had no idea what I was doing, but glad I bought both upper and lower injectors. Not sure why these are separate parts? Cheap plastic. I did not get the hose clamp because I didn't think I would need it. You probably do, so go ahead and just order it or grab one if you have one laying around. Mine is hooked up without it for now which I'm sure I will regret later but I needed to get our washer running immediately due to a bed bug situation in our house. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dryer stopped heating   Mark L. • Parkersburg , WV • March 30, 2020

Our heating element had broken coils. Typed model number in to see which parts were likely to fix the problem. AppliancePartsPros told me exactly which parts to try. For the cost, it seemed the best decision was to order the complete Heating Element Assembly, rather than risk needing the two smaller parts as well. Decided to order new vent as well. The parts arrived super fast and the on-site video showed step-by-step how to install the new part. From diagnosis to drying laundry in less than 48... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dryer motor failed   Randall S. • Huntsville , TX • October 03, 2014

I've read several reports about how "easy and quick" it was to replace the motor. All I can say is, "nonsense". It wasn't as easy as others reported, but for someone with decent tool skills, it was a very doable home repair - just be prepared to spend some time on it. First, the motor needs to be accessed from the FRONT of the dryer. This means removing the two cover panels to access the interior. NOTE: take photos as you go of how all interior pieces for together to make reassembly easier -... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washing machine missing a rubber bumper intermittent operation   Robby R. • Brooklyn , NY • April 09, 2015

Called a Maytag repair man, said "the bumpers are no longer available". These little things are actually critical to operation, because the lid safety switch needs to be pressed back far enough to sense that the lid is closed, and without the bumpers, this is a little iffy. I looked up the parts on the internet, came across AppliancePartsPros.com and guess what, the parts were available !! Ordered, delivered on time, installed, and I'm up and running. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Pretty much everything   Charlotteanne Y. • Kingston , IL • August 06, 2018

Here's the story. All my appliances except the dryer broke. Yeah. talk about bad luck. First I tried to fix the refrigerator. Replaced both motherboard and inverter board. Now it wakes up but the compressor does not kick in. Need another part. The washer, well I have to pull out the sink to get enough room to pull out the washer to fix it.
