Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. Cushions contact between washer lid and top panel. Replace if cracked, missing, or worn to prevent slamming noise and protect the finish from damage.
Removed lid sanded down all rust spots, taped over the printed instructions on the inside of the lid, washed with alcohol and spray painted with appliance white epoxy paint. Replaced the plastic hinge-balls and one of the lid support/bumper grommet. We watched the video before we purchased the parts for this project. We wanted to make sure exactly what parts we would need. Thanks for having this information available. 1. Sleeve for input, Injector valve, nozzle and seal for input fixed this problem. Probably the main part that was the trouble was a deformed Injector Valve which is a rubber tube with an internal retention groove at the wide part that grips the Nozzle. The Sleeve and the Nozzle are hard plastic parts that basically looked fine, but I replaced them anyway while I was in there. Leaking water at the tub ring during fill? This lower water injector channels incoming water into the tub. Simple 30-minute DIY repair with basic tools.
Simple. Remove top back panel. (4 screws) Remove old injector. (1 nut screw.) Rotate to remove. (Other side is a tab in a slot.) Unsnap the upper injector. Snap upper injector on to new lower injector. Replace in reverse order. Run washer, look for leaks. Read more
