This was some repair! My SG1000 stackable is over 30 years old and was purchased second hand. I've replaced many parts in the dryer section, but besides a water inlet, this was my first repair to the washer. All of a sudden it started making a terrible noise and was not agitating the clothes. I cannot believe this machine still runs. APP has sold me repair parts for this unit now 3 times. First I wanted to replace the old belts. They still worked but was more a preventative thing. Next was a water control valve a few years ago. This time I noticed a leak near the valve again. I decided to buy a new valve and also replace all the rubber hoses that were 35 years old. Model# MAV7257AWW Maytag Atlantis Washing Machine. Repairs were fairly easy along with the videos appliancepartspros offers on their website. Parts also came with instructions on how to install. Other videos were available on You Tube. The only part difficult to install was Thrust bearing kit - make sure when installing to pull down on shaft so washer and e-clip will fit. Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. Long and short the replacement parts fit perfectly and the washer is running like new. Special thanks to the online support make my repair possible. Read more

First the parts showed up as promised in 2 days. Injector fill hose wasn't leaking but replaced to be on safe side. Everything went together just like OEM parts. Cost less then having my appliance guy just walk thru the door at $80.00 Read more

Replace faucet adapter, replace fill and drain hose assembly. You must remove outer cabinet to be able to route new hoses and access hose connections under tub. Read more

We watched the video before we purchased the parts for this project. We wanted to make sure exactly what parts we would need. Thanks for having this information available. We purchased the mounting stem repair kit,,tub bearing kit, 3 new bolt/washers that hold the outer tub in place and the spanner wrench. Cleaned everything... Called a Maytag repair man, said "the bumpers are no longer available". These little things are actually critical to operation, because the lid safety switch needs to be pressed back far enough to sense that the lid is closed, and without the bumpers, this is a little iffy. 1. Sleeve for input, Injector valve, nozzle and seal for input fixed this problem. Probably the main part that was the trouble was a deformed Injector Valve which is a rubber tube with an internal retention groove at the wide part that grips the Nozzle. The Sleeve and the Nozzle are hard plastic parts that basically looked fine, but I replaced them anyway while I was in there. I emailed appliancepartspros.com with what my problem was and they informed me what was wrong they gave me a part number to order, tools needed and a brief explanation how replace the seal. they also have online video's for different repairs. I watched the video for lip seal(part # 207843) replacement.I also had to remove the brake assembly in order to replace the seal so I watched that video also. American appliances are very easy to fix in comparison to imported ones. Just open the washer and take de transmission cover out change the pinion inside removing a simple retainer. In the agitator there is a screw that you loosen it take it out, then de tub and take the shaft out and put a new seal and a new c clamp and reinstall everything back. Top-loading washers are very easy to fix in comparison to front-loading washers that are very difficult to fix. Read more

Here's the story. All my appliances except the dryer broke. Yeah. talk about bad luck. First I tried to fix the refrigerator. Replaced both motherboard and inverter board. Now it wakes up but the compressor does not kick in. Need another part. The washer, well I have to pull out the sink to get enough room to pull out the washer to fix it.
