This is a small tube of silicone-based gasket sealer used to bond and seal gaskets during washer repairs. It creates a watertight seal between mating surfaces to prevent leaks around tub components or pump housings. Use this adhesive when replacing gaskets or resealing joints where the original sealant has deteriorated and water is leaking.
This is a small lever or catch that engages the door switch when the dryer door is closed, signaling the dryer that it is safe to operate. It also interacts with the belt switch mechanism to detect proper belt tension. Replace this part if the dryer does not start when the door is shut, runs with the door open, or if the lever is visibly broken or worn.
This kit includes the clutch band and lining material used in the washer's transmission clutch assembly. The clutch band wraps around the clutch housing to engage the spin cycle, allowing the basket to gradually ramp up to full speed. - Didn't see any other leaks in machine. No grinding transmission noise. Assumed seal on transmission shaft was bad, since it was a central leak down the rotor. It was a little more difficult to dissemble than the video showed, but not too bad. Got it all back together and seems to be working well. No leaks yet. Didn't need washer in parts diagram - was already on the transmission. Also the drain pump filter was not necessary, it can just be cleaned. Read more
Knurled pin secures knobs or dials to control shafts in washers. Replace if the original is missing, worn, or damaged to stop loose or spinning knobs.
Weekend laundry became very noisy, our 1987 Whirlpool washer began doing a dance across the floor and the drum was banging into the inner cabinet. After doing some research and watching a few videos on Appliance parts pros website. I inspected the washer and noticed one leg the rubber coating disintegrated, decided to change all four legs, springs and lid switch. Hardest part of the job is getting the cabinet together.
