The first part I ordered was cheaper but did not include the handle. Cents I had plugged it in I figured I couldn't return the part. So I ordered the correct part and it was a piece of cake to install. The one thing I didn't understand was why they sold that part why out the handle? After looking very close I could have never put the handle on the latch assembly, and I have a lot of experience at things like this! Read more

Dishes were 'gritty' with an almost invisible coating of specks smaller than grains of salt. Prior to ordering parts, I had to determine which part(s) needed replaced and which could benefit from a good cleaning. After viewing Appliance Parts Pros YouTube Videos, I removed the Main Manifold (snaps right off) including the Top Spray Arm. I discovered the Flappers of the Docking Station (AP6009888) were worn out and/or missing. I removed the Docking Station simply by popping the old one off... Read more

Tipped the dishwasher on to its front, loosened the drain hose clamp and pulled the hose off. Then unscrew the fill hose which looks like a garden hose adapter. Cut the zip tie on the drain hose and take note of how both hoses are routed, then pull both hoses out the back of the dishwasher. Insert new hoses and route them correctly and hook everything back up. Couple of notes, I didn't have to take off the outer cabinet to do this repair. About a month ago, a sporadic drip was noticed on right hand bottom corner of dishwasher. Puddle would vary in size but nothing major. My first inclination was to change the door gasket (~$35 at a major online retailer) as this seemed reasonable to me and was a straightforward fix. Next wash cycle, no drip. Normally when you let go of the dishwasher door partly open it would stay in that position. But lately when you let go of the door it would fall to the fully open position. Turns out this little cable was broken one one side. Just puss the dishwasher slightly out of the cabinet and you can replace the cable in minutes. It is just held in place with a spring. Read more

Motor shaft was stripped, replaced with new shaft from Motor Seal Kit. Impeller was also cracked, so replaced it as well. I did run in to a small problem, the chopper blade was pressing against the metal grate on the piece that goes back over the motor seal. I spent about an hour messing with it, but thought maybe once it's all together it'll be fine. When you screw the impeller on, it pushes down the seals, which pushes down the chopper blade. Number one was turn the power to the dishwasher off. I disconnected the hoses under the sink. The dishwasher had to be pulled out from the cabinet. The old heating element easily came out and the new one put in its place. The instructional video made the repair very easy. Read more

Replaced It With New One Read more

I got the new hose with connection at faucet in only 2 days after ordering. After taking the top and sides off if the dishwasher it only took 10 minutes to replace the hose. It actually took longer to disassemble and reassemble the top and sides but even that was easy. 45 minutes total. Just use your cell phone to take a picture of how the old hose is routed before installing the new one and have 2 small zip ties to keep loose wires away from hose. Read more
