Ordered dishwasher rack tine tips and bottle of vinyl touch up paint. I applied the paint to each tine and then placed the tips on the tines. I waited a few hours before using my dishwasher to allow the paint to dry and allow the tips to stick to the tines. Read more

Dishwasher leaking from bottom or making grinding noise? The sump housing often cracks or wears out. Moderately difficult repair, about 45 minutes.
I noticed the floor around the dishwasher was starting to get wet and warp the wooden floor. The chopper had gotten out of line and had cut a pinhole into the sump housing and the dishwasher was leaking badly. It was quite easy to repair. Just unhook the drain hose and the wire connectors, twist off the turbidity sensor and waste motor, pull out the shims and the whole assemple comes up and out. I custom cut out a plastic washer to hold the worn screw in place. For months, I added a small strip of duct tape to the screw's threads, which would often stay in tact for a few days. This is a gray plastic cap that seals the rinse aid dispenser reservoir inside the dishwasher door. It threads onto the dispenser opening to keep rinse aid contained until it is automatically released during the rinse cycle. Replace this cap if it is cracked, missing, or no longer seals properly - causing rinse aid to leak or run out too quickly.
