I replaced the Defrost Heater and the Fan Motor w/Harness (contains the thermoswitch for the Defrost Heater). I didn't know which part was defective, and I didn't want to tear apart the refrigerator twice (first finding the defective part and then replacing it). The right door on our Jenn Air French Door Refrigerator would pop open & not fully close when the left door was closed first. The noise seemed to be caused by a vibration. The condenser fan motor seemed to have a vibration. I didn't need the fan blade as it came off in good condition. Read more

Bought new optic control boards, both the emitter and the receiver. The repair process was so simple. The KitchenAid repair tech came out to diagnose our issue. He was only going to come back and install a new emitter. They wanted a lot of money to do the repair. They were going to charge us $257 just for the part (emitter board). We bought both boards for $300 from AppliancePartsPros. We decided to replace both boards, because if one went bad the other might not be far behind. Read more

The evaporator fan had stopped working and caused the entire area around it to ice up. No air flow was getting from the freezer to the fridge. I replaced the damper control (it was rusted, not sure if it was workign or not) and the evaporator fan. It was a very quick repair once I diagnosed the problem. I had my grandson, as he is more agile, replace the Drip Pan. The only real issue was the removing and reinstalling the Fan module. Strongly suggest to view the provided Video a couple of time to save frustration. As not in video, you do not need to remove the water line as the whole back panel will just fold up and out of the way. A 1/4" nut driver is the only tool you need.
