This is a mounting support bracket that holds the fresh food compartment fan motor in place inside the refrigerator. The fan circulates cold air throughout the fresh food section to maintain even temperatures. Checked and found the evaporator frozen causing the fan to stop working. Took the interior panels off and applied a blow dryer to the ice, once the ice melted I cut the tabs on the grommet holding the fan since everything is thin plastic and replaced the grommet and fan. Placed everything back and found no further issues. Tools I used were a small flat head screwdriver to pry the panels off and a 1/4 socket to remove the center drawer (4), water filter cover (2), and the ice maker (2). Not too... Read more
